PSI seeks a dynamic intern with an interest in global health and the U.S. federal government to support the Advocacy & Policy Department. This position is based in Washington, D.C. and reports to the Governmental Affairs Manager and other staff as assigned. This position requires approximately 20 hours per week, beginning September 2010, and is a paid position. Hours are flexible but preferably concentrated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have excellent writing, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills and an ability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks on short notice within designated deadlines. The candidate should be motivated to take initiative, work independently, and see tasks through to completion. The candidate must have an interest in both global health and the U.S. federal government. The candidate should be willing to work 20 hours per week. An hourly stipend commensurate with the candidate’s experience will be provided. Graduate and undergraduate candidates will be considered.
