Health Program Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

  • Assist with  the design and  implementation of  monitoring and evaluation systems for IMC health programs which include but will not be limited to training programs in general CME topics, emergency medicine, radiation oncology, TB control under the National TB Program in Iraq, and a wide range of programs targeting primary health care and maternal and child health;
  • Assist with the design and implementation of appropriate baseline and periodic studies to assess the progress and effectiveness of health programs;
  • Collect and analyze data related to current health program activities and map against program deliverables and established indicators;
  • Review current available data in the health sector and determine gaps that can be addressed and studied for scholarly publication;
  • Draft monitoring and evaluation reports and relevant sections of other reports required for donors and management;
  • Develop communications material and periodic publications for IMC health programs;

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Health Science, Administration, or related field and post graduate course work in Public Health
  • Good knowledge and understanding of survey statistics and application of scientific standards to monitoring and evaluation;
  • Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, and Excel), SPSS, and statistical analysis software;
  • Proven analytical, writing, and communication skills;
  • Fluency in oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic a plus;
  • Ability to work well both within a team and independently, in a challenging, fast-paced multicultural environment.
