AMEX International, Inc., an international consulting firm, seeks a Chief of Party/Project Manager (PM) for a contract to support the Food for Peace (FFP) Office of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The base period for the position is from February 2012 through September 2012, and could be extended several years beyond that date. This is a full-time staff position, with full benefits, located in downtown Washington, DC.
The USAID FFP office makes available P.L. 480 Title II resources to private voluntary organizations, international organizations—especially the World Food Program—and foreign governments to address food needs and insecurity resulting from both short-term emergencies and longer term development problems in food-deficit countries.
The Chief of Party/Project Manager has oversight for a 20-person professional and administrative staff who have a wide variety of responsibilities to meet core objectives as stipulated by FFP. In summary, the contract is to:
