VisionFund improves the lives of children in the developing world by offering small loans and other financial services to families living in poverty. The Communications Officer will help give guidance to VisionFund global centre, its global microfinance institutes (MFIs) and employees throughout World Vision. You will be to assist MFIs in managing their own communications and guide employees in seeing the bigger picture of VisionFund’s strategic goals, and also help to engage stakeholders to support VisionFund’s work.
Your main work will be to support the delivery of internal communications through a variety of channels, including our central newsletter ‘VisionFund News’ & VisionFund e-bulletin, and contributing to World Vision’s staff publications.
With a proven track record in a fast paced, complex and ideally global organisation, you will have a desire, motivated by your Christian faith, to help others and model ethics in line with the Christian foundations and ethos of the organisation.
To do this effectively, you need to be university degree qualified or equivalent in public relations, communication, marketing or journalism. You will also have proven experience in a related field, preferably in global and multi-cultural environments. In addition, your networking experience and ability to work comfortably in a matrix structure alongside others and experience in internal communications and/ or change management will be important.
