Project Director - Peru

Job Summary: Implement activities and oversee financial management of Catholic Medical Mission Board's Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) Project in Peru.

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Director will assist the Senior VP, Programs and Regional Coordinator, Latin America & the Caribbean to:

Assure adequate project implementation, communication flow, and timely donor reporting

Provide technical support and guidance

Monitor field operations to be sure that they are consistent with the Scope of Work (SOW)

Provide financial management and ensure financial compliance by implementing partners

Act as CMMB liaison to key stakeholders in Peru: Ministry of Health, Catholic Health Systems, Caritas, PAHO, and I-NGOs

Assure that statistics are collected and reported on time

Assure financial reports are submitted on time and review for completeness and accuracy

Support M&E activities, reporting and evaluation schedule

Monitor CMMB medical volunteers activities in project sites

Ensure appropriate placement of medical supplies and medicines placed in IMNCI sites

Manage project budgets to assure compliance

Other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications:

1. Masters Degree in International Development, Public Health, or related field

2. 3-5 years of field experience in the Latin America Region, and at the headquarters of organizations engaged in international healthcare work.

3. Excellent written and oral communications skills

4. Strong interpersonal, cross-cultural skills

5. Proficiency in English and Spanish a must.
