DAI seeks a person to fill the role of Development Coordinator for the Environment and Energy Sector. Person will work with the Managing Director of E&E and have the following responsibilities:
Administrative assistance to the E&E Managing Director and team. The Development Coordinator will support the Managing Director and E&E by providing an array of administrative assistance including:
• Support the preparation and tracking of annual OH and B&P budgets;
• Organize and document weekly staff meetings, and other meetings, retreats and/or workshops sponsored by E&E;
• Work with HR to organize interviews for candidates for new positions;
• Manage and keep up-to-date group mailing lists for E&E coordinators, technical staff and COPs;
• Assist visiting COPs and visitors with logistics as directed by the MD or E&E TAMs;
Support New Business Development. As directed by the E&E MD, support the E&E New Business Manager and Opportunity Manager to:
• Track new business opportunities;
• coordinate the preparation of proposals;
• Provide support to the New Business Manager during absences of the E&E Opportunity Manager;
• Support the development of Expressions of Interest for World Bank or other donor funded activities;
• Manage meeting logistics including meeting notes, room reservation, catering, etc; and
• Draft sections and/or tables in support of proposal development such as past performance information; formatting CVs, etc
• Support the E&E technical teams as they pursue directly or support DAI/I to prepare EOIs and proposals for non-USAID opportunities;
Develop and Update Web Content. Work with the MD and other members of the E&E team to develop new, and maintain up-to-date content on DAI’s website that describes E&E’s expertise, special reports, and portfolio of contracts.
Assist MD and E&E Team Members Prepare Presentations. Assist E&E team members to prepare presentations and materials for use in national and international workshops and conferences that help establish DAI’s reputation as a thought leader in the international community engaged in climate change and water resources work. Help team members organize other materials they require to showcase DAI’s innovative approaches and lessons learned through past and ongoing contracts.
Support Research by E&E Team Members. Assist team members to carry out research on organizations, innovative approaches, or new business ideas that will help DAI become and stay a leader in the provision of technical services in climate change, value chain development around sustainable natural resources management, and water resources management and water/sanitation services delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study - preferably related to one of E&E’s technical areas. Master’s degree preferred.
• 5 years experience working in international development. At least two years overseas experience preferred.
• Demonstrated past experience with new business development.
• Demonstrated strong writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with teams composed of members drawn from diverse backgrounds.
Must be eligible to work in the US.
