Economic Resilience Specialist - Zambia

CHF International is seeking an Economic Resilience Specialist for an anticipated Zambia Economic Resilience Program for Improved Food Security (ZERS) program which will implement innovative strategies and approaches to enable vulnerable and poor rural households as well as the very poor to improve food security through strengthened economic resilience.

The Economic Resilience Specialist will supervise all economic resilience staff and activities under the program, will ensure the technical quality of project design and implementation, and will provide technical guidance as required at all levels of the program, including the training of staff and partners.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Business/Economics, International Development, or other related field.
  • 6+ years of professional work experience in international development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience as a consultant or in a relevant technical assistance role.
  • Experience implementing USAID-funded programs preferred.
  • Significant knowledge of food security, household resilience and economic development best practices.
  • Good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English required.
