Engineers & Construction Management Professionals

Parsons provides infrastructure services globally, most notably in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Near East, and Asia.  We offer USAID and other international development aid agencies proven experience in delivering solutions to people needing clean water, safe wastewater management systems, transportation, power, buildings, environmental services, resettlement, governance, disaster response, and institutional development. 

 
Projects
Parsons has opportunities in several Sub-Saharan Africa countries in the infrastructure engineering and related fields.  We seek qualified professionals in the areas of project management, engineering planning and design, and construction management.  Many of these positions require relocation to the designated work location.
 
Position Overview
 
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated technical, managerial and mentoring skills built on a foundation of practical field experience in one or more of the above noted infrastructure sectors.  He/she must have over 10 years engineering and construction management experience with at least 2 years of direct technical experience in Sub-Saharan Africa including the design and/or construction of rural water, building construction, or transportation infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will lead engineering teams in the establishment of technical protocols, performing and overseeing technical and construction supervisory work, and providing mentoring & training to local engineers & inspectors.  Positions may range from part to full-time (up to 5 years) based in the designated work location.  Housing expenses, cost of living allowance and relocation expenses are provided as per US Government Department of State policies. 
 
Requirements 
  • Minimum 10 years applied professional experience required
  • BS in engineering discipline required, Civil (BSCE) preferred
  • MS in engineering desirable
  • PE, CCM and/or other relevant or equivalent professional registrations required
  • Prior experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa mandatory
  • Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams of professionals
  • French language proficiency desirable for Francophone countries
