Team Leader, Africa

Devex is currently assisting a leading international organization in its search for a Team Leader who will manage a facility that will provide technical assistance and program support (various sectors) to a range of countries across Africa.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and/ or higher degree (Master’s, Ph.D);

• Must have AusAID Facility Management experience;

• Ability to form productive trusting relationships with senior African government and Australian diplomatic officials;

• Experience in Africa;

• Speaks French, Portuguese or Arabic as a second language;

• Understanding and insight into public policy, governance for mining and natural resources and/or agriculture sectors;

• Knowledge of the development sector including MDGs and Paris Declaration.

 

Position Details:

This is a field position that will be based in Africa (Pretoria, South Africa), and involves extensive travelling throughout Africa, as well as trips to Europe and Australia. This is a 5 year program with a minimum 2 year contract and a possible extension. The desired starting date for this position is June/ July 2010.
