dTS is a strategic management consulting firm leading initiatives in social and economic development worldwide with a view to promoting equality and accountability. In recent years,   dTS has worked in over 40 countries and provided gender integration, training and capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation services to USAID and the World Bank.

dTS is seeking long term Gender Specialists for a USAID funded projects in the Middle East.  The ideal candidates will have: a) experience in gender as it relates to democracy & governance and/or access to legal rights; b) experience working in Afghanistan and Iraq; and c) demonstrated capacity in integrating gender into program activities, including training and capacity building of project staff and counterparts. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Gender Specialists should meet the following qualifications:

• Advanced university degree, preferably in international development, social work, anthropology, sociology or related field (required)
• Minimum of 7years of experience as an international gender advisor
• Demonstrated skills in gender integration, capacity building and training
• Experience in Afghanistan or Iraq (preferred)
• Experience in democracy and governance (preferred)
• Experience working with USAID and other large international donors (strongly preferred)
• Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Detail oriented and organized
• Good problem solving skills
• Team oriented individual
• High level of proficiency in MS Office applications and databases
