Global Fund Program Director - Honduras

CHF International’s mission is to be a catalyst for long-lasting positive change in low- and moderate-income communities around the world, helping them to improve their social, economic and environmental conditions.

CHF is seeking a dynamic development professional to lead and manage all programmatic and administrative activities of its Global Fund (GF) Program in Honduras.  The GF Program Director plays a critical role in developing and maintaining the close partnerships with GF sub-recipients including the Secretary of Health, the Country Coordinating Mechanism, the Local Fund Agent, international development agencies, the United Nation agencies, the private sector and other NGOs in Honduras.  The GF Program Director must ensure timely and effective achievement of the programs strategic goals and indicators and must bring a solid repertoire of programmatic, leadership and organizational development talent to the 30+ multi-disciplinary staff under her/his supervision.

Compensation consists of a competitive local package – Expats and TCNs residing in Honduras or the region are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in social sciences, MBA, MPH or other relevant field.
• 7+ years of senior level organizational management experience in the developing world.
• 5+ years experience in managing grants from international donors.
• Strong program management skills.
• Ability to manage in a complex program environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic, networking, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead and develop new program partnerships and maintain existing ones.
• Proven experience in staff management (30+ staff members), especially team building, staff retention, and conflict resolution.
• Proven experience in financial oversight, including preparing and managing program budgets and contracts.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) required.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Power Point and similar applications.
