Cardno Emerging Markets USA, Ltd. (Cardno) is seeking candidates for the position of Health Financing Specialist for an anticipated AusAID-funded Health Systems Strengthening project in Indonesia. The position will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This national level program will work closely with the Ministry of Health, as well as other Indonesia Government agencies such as the Ministry of Finance, and Bappenas. The program will be partially harmonized with Global Fund Health Systems Strengthening support to Indonesia. The program will focus on providing technical assistance to improve health financing and health workforce quality supply and distribution, as well as to strengthen evidence-based policymaking and reach Indonesia’s poorest populations. The program will work with national and decentralized government structures as well as universities, research institutes, civil society organizations, and the Global Fund.
Required Qualifications
Masters or PhD preferred in Public Health, Public Policy, Health Systems, Health Economics, or related field, or Bachelors degree with additional relevant experience
Significant technical understanding of health financing
Extensive knowledge of Indonesian health sector and context
Fluency in English required; additional fluency in Bahasa Indonesia preferred
