Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Industry Expert, CeBiT 2010 Consultant

Description Support the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Industry Advisor of an international donor project in preparing Information Technology (IT) companies for successful participation at the CeBit Technology Fair. Generate interest for IT solutions and services from European and global buyers, identify appropriate commercial partners, and attend the Fair with the goal of securing commercial contracts during or following CeBit. Train and prepare exhibitors for participation at the fair, and provide market knowledge, research and recommendations to ensure measurable success for this initiative. Tasks • Review profiles of Serbian companies that will participate at the Fair and conduct research on Western European ICT market trends • Assess participating companies, evaluate their offers and capabilities, provide feedback and recommendations for improvement, and assist them in implementing these recommendations prior to the Fair • Attend the CeBit Exhibition with Serbian companies and assist companies in pursuing leads for, and eventually establishing, commercial linkages both at and following the Fair • Assignment will consist of 40 days level of effort (LOE) distributed between February and September 2010, and will be conducted in both the consultant's home country and in Serbia. Qualifications To be considered, candidates must meet or exceed the following qualifications: • 10+ years of international experience working in a consulting /management role within ICT sector and a last portion of this experience in the countries of Western Europe • Strong knowledge of ICT industry trends in Western Europe and Germany and network of global contacts, with focus on Western Europe and Germany • Experience in creating commercial linkages between small and medium sized enterprise (SME) ICT service providers and customers • Experience working with or in ICT companies to promote their offering to customers abroad and/or to potential investors • Experience in assisting companies in marketing and sales efforts and building capacity to attract partners or funding • Excellent communication, training and networking skills • Strong analytical and market research skills • Fluency in English (mandatory) and German Integrating the full range of consulting capabilities, Booz Allen is the one firm that helps clients solve their toughest problems, working by their side to help them achieve their missions.
