Chemonics International seeks Washington-based project managers to provide day-to-day support to project teams for USAID-funded projects in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Responsibilities include: recruit long- and short-term personnel; provide administrative and management support to staff working in Afghanistan and Pakistan, including monitoring personnel allowances and accounting, obtaining contract and subcontract approvals, tracking budgets and adherence to contracts, and coordinating procurement; provide quality assurance for technical documents; oversee employee and subcontractor performance; support proposal development; conduct increasingly complex technical and business development assignments; conduct short-term field assignments; supervise one to two associates.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in international development or other relevant field, or bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience; advanced degree a plus
*Minimum four years of experience in international development
*Minimum two years of USAID contract management experience preferred
*Ability to travel and work overseas four to eight weeks per year
*Availability to travel to Afghanistan or Pakistan a plus
*Permanent U.S. work authorization required
