Key Expert Justice Reform

 Expert in development of training systems and methodologies

The expert will assist the team leader and the other project experts in reviewing the existing training needs assessment system, developing a new methodology and carrying out an assessment of the training needs. The expert will also set up new methodologies for developing training programmes for the judges, prosecutors and other staff within the judiciary and will draft new programmes notably review and develop, in collaboration with the other experts of the project. The expert will also support the team leader in the coordination of the feasibility studies and development/improvement of the e-learning and de-centralised training systems, as well as in the activities focused on the assessment of the capacity and functionality of the library.

Qualifications and skills:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. social sciences, law, education, etc) or equivalent of 7 years of professional experience in developing training systems and methodologies;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English;
  • Organisational and planning skills;
  • Computer literacy.

General professional experience:

  • Minimum 3 but preferably 5 years professional experience in developing training systems and methodologies;
  • Practical experience in development of training programmes and training needs assessments;

Specific professional experience:

  • Preferably 3 years of working experience in developing distance learning and/or decentralised training systems;
  • Experience in the training systems for judges, public prosecutors and/or other staff within the judicial system would be an asset;
  • Practical experience for carrying out training needs assessments for judges, prosecutors and/or other staff within the judicial system would be an asset.
