Long-term Consulting Postions in India - RCH II

The objectives of the assignment are to 1) strengthen the organisational development of the MoHFW/NHSRC; 2) support the NIHFW to function along the lines of its statutory mission; and 3) build state capacity to follow up on the health sector reform agenda for Reproductive and Child service delivery by aiding the reorganisation of the PHC service delivery infrastructure and strengthening the State Directorates for improved general and financial management capacity. 

We are looking for consultants with the following profiles:

Summary of experience

• Understanding and experience of contributing to European Commission policies and programmes in a developing country, preferably India
• Experience working on Reproductive and Child Health programmes
• Experience in developing EC project concepts and work plans
• Experience of operating with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in India is preferred
• Health Sector Reform Experience
• Financial Management Experience

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:

• Expert in  Health Systems Strengthening/Financial Management/Reproductive Health/Public Health or related field
• Ability to build a strong working relationship with the client and with the government
• Education at least up to Masters Degree, at least 10 years of professional experience in areas relevant to the assignment.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
• Knowledge of Reproductive and Child Service Delivery and Health Sector Reform

Candidates of EU or Indian nationality are preferred.
