Financial Controller of African Operations

Establish and manage financial systems, controls and reporting for African operations of World Bicycle Relief  

JOB DESCRIPTION:    

Across the countries of WBR operations in Africa:

• Establish and manage financial policies and reporting systems
• Establish and manage financial controls and systems to minimize threat of fraud
• Ensure compliance to country specific regulatory registrations, filings and reporting
• Conduct product cost analysis
• Participate in strategic planning of senior management
• Direct budget and cost controls
• Provide accurate cash-flow projections
• Provide monthly budget reports to senior management and to budget holders, working closely with them to enable them to make accurate decisions and operations are within approved budget lines.
• Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance
• Prepare or supervise preparation of financial statements and consolidations
• Coordinate year end audits including consolidation into US audit of 501(c)3
• Supervise accounting staff
• Present financial information to senior management and/or Board of Directors
• Work on special projects as needed.
