Project/Proposal Summary: 

This USAID-funded project promotes capacity-building anticorruption initiatives - both preventive and enforcement-related - in a range of Indonesian government ministries and departments that have a mission to improve accountability, transparency and integrity. The project also works with NGOs, business groups, and mass media organizations at both the national and local level to strengthen external monitoring of government agencies.

Position Summary:

The Chief of Party will supervise all aspects of this multimillion dollar USAID program, which works with government ministries and agencies, civil society groups, businesses and the mass media to promote increased government accountability and transparency at both national and local levels. The project will be conducted over a 3-5 year period.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strict control and auditing mechanisms for executive oversight, administrative streamlining, legislative drafting, capacity building in investigation and prosecution, citizen/media monitoring and other preventive and enforcement approaches to curb corrupt practices.
  • Interface and represent project activities with high level government officials, USAID, and other donor programs.
  • Manage staff, coordinate cross-cutting activities and ensure accomplishment of objectives and deliverables.
  • Ensure performance goals and indicators are achieved and monitored

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Indonesia or other Southeast Asian countries
  • Minimum of ten (10) years project management experience
  • Masters degree, JD or higher preferred
  • Prior experience as a Chief of Party on a USAID program of comparable size and complexity.
  • US National preferred
