Chemonics seeks a Washington-based manager to provide day-to-day support to project teams and contribute to new business proposals in our South America Regional Business Unit. Our portfolio includes projects in private sector development, natural resources management, and agricultural productivity. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:
Provide administrative and management support to overseas staff
Oversee client relationships and timely processing of local accounts, subcontractors’ invoices, and project invoices
Apply knowledge of U.S. government regulations, policies, and procedures, and contribute technical knowledge to core business activities
Serve in key new business roles
Manage the performance and workload of individuals and teams
Minimum three years of professional experience in international, donor-funded project management
Knowledge of U.S. government regulations, policies, and procedures
Strong project management skills
Experience backstopping USAID-funded projects
Experience living or working in developing countries preferred
Willingness to travel and work abroad up to eight weeks per year and to consider placement on long-term overseas assignments
Proposal development experience preferred
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
Strong verbal and written communication skills
English and Spanish fluency required
