Natural resource management specialist

Chemonics seeks a natural resource management and sustainable landscapes and adaptation specialist for an anticipated USAID-funded program to improve food security in Cambodia. The program aims to enhance agricultural development and management of natural resources. Responsibilities include: provide strategic support in the development, analysis, and implementation of activities to manage the land, water, mineral, forest, energy, agricultural systems, and natural and cultural history of resources to address food security and global climate change.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in natural resources management, environmental management, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated professional experience and knowledge related to natural resource management, sustainable landscapes, and adaptation in developing countries
  • Minimum five years of professional experience in progressively more responsible project management positions, analyzing and coordinating programs in agricultural economics; activity design, development, and implementation; and overseeing multiple program areas simultaneously
  • Experience in complex, challenging field operations in closed societies or transitional or developing countries preferred
