Save the Children US, the leading independent organization creating real and lasting change for children in need in the U.S. and around the world seeks a Field Logistics Coordinator to be responsible for the management and support of all logistics activities in the project sites. The postholder is responsible for effectively managing the logistics required to complete large scale distributions and for ensuring the delivery of emergency food and non-food items to the program area of operation as well as supporting Health, CP, Education and all other sectors logistical needs. Requires at least 5 years international experience in supply chain management in an emergency environment including procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock management; Experience in vehicle and fleet management; Experience in running distribution programs; Experience in the set up and use of HF & VHF radio systems, satellite phones and development of communications procedures; Experience of building and developing the capacity of logistics staff through the use of training, performance management frameworks and development plans; Experience of emergency response in a logistics capacity; Experience of working in insecure environments; Excellent interpersonal and team skills; Excellent IT skills; Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
