In anticipation of multiple donor supported programs to develop Integrated Water Resources Management capacity in Cambodia, RTI (the Research Triangle Institute, USA) seeks to identify qualified and experienced international and national Cambodian experts in a number of required areas of technical expertise for both long- and short-term assignments.
Basin Planning Specialist. Technical experience in hydraulics/sediment flow, reservoirs, basin modeling, reservoir optimization and simulation modeling, flood control, and floodplain management is highly desirable.
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. To assist the primary Government counterpart agencies develop and implement the information systems necessary to operationalize the performance M&E system.
Hydrologist. Technical experience in hydraulics/sediment flow, reservoirs, basin modeling, reservoir optimization and simulation modeling, watershed management, flood control, and floodplain management is highly desirable; regional experience is desirable.
Hydrometeorological Data Specialist. Technical experience in using multiparameter water quality instruments to generate data and analysis. Ability to design and implement training modules in hydroclimate impact model development; & statistical hydroclimate impact models.
Natural Resources Economist. Expertise in cost benefit analysis and benefit optimization, developing sustainable financing mechanisms for water, understanding of the economics of climate change & economic and other instruments to deal with water and energy management..
GISSpecialist. Expertise in water management applications, web-based reporting and database management in M&E, basin modeling applications, e.g. MIKE-Basin.
Climate Change Adaptation Specialist. Operational and policy advice and support on environmental impact mitigation, especially water and energy.
Social Development Specialist. Community outreach public awareness development, CBO involvement in natural resources management and impact mitigation, community involvement in government and donor investments.
Water Supply Engineer. Water supply and sanitation: designing technical and financial solutions to achieve water supply or conservation goals.
Water Law Specialist. Proficiency in working on legislative reform measures, including development of national codes, and harmonization of sector-based laws and regulations; understanding of international and Mekong basin trans-boundary water and energy.
Water Management Governance Specialist. Understanding of interplay between politics and the environment, water and energy efficiency, and climate change adaptation; environmental policy-making, and institutional strengthening.
Water and Energy Regulatory Specialist. To facilitate identification and resolution of water, energy issues with regulatory agencies, NGOs, and public advocacy entities.
Irrigation Systems Engineer. Proficiency in irrigation network infrastructure design and rehabilitation and groundwater engineering.
On-Farm Water Management Agricultural Engineer. Understanding of best practices for water use efficiency leading toward sustainable growth in agricultural production.
