National Evaluation Experts for the project UNDEF post-evaluation

Transtec is conducting post project evaluations worldwide for the United Nations Democracy Fund. Each post project evaluation is led by a team of two: one from our permanent international Evaluation experts and one national expert living in the country.

To this end we are always interested in receiving relevant candidatures from nationals from the following countries: Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Philippines, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Albania, Kosovo, Argentina, Guatemala, Haiti, Jamaica, Mexico, Paraguay, Papua New Guinea.

 

Profile of the national experts required:

The requirements to undertake the role of national expert are the following:

  • degree in social sciences, international development or law studies.
  • S/he will be based in the country of the Evaluation;
  • has former experience in project management and/or evaluation with demonstrated skills to arrange one week of meetings;
  • able to set up the logistics, ensure all counterparts availability within a certain amount of time and budget limit.
  • as for reporting, the expert will be expected to share his/her knowledge of the national context to analyze the frame of project implementation and to collect success stories over the evaluation week.
  • a specialization in UNDEF core fields of action is a plus (Human rights, Youth and Women rights, establishment of participative and fair Elections, capacity building of public services, etc.)
  • the evaluations last one full week and require 8 working days from the selected national expert.
