MSH is seeking candidates for upcoming projects in Mozambique. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience in Mozambique. All positions are subject to project award.
The Maternal Child Health (MCH) Advisor will provide the overall strategic framework, technical support, guidance and leadership for maternal and child health and related activities, thus enhancing MSH's profile as a leader in the field of Maternal & Child Health. S/he will follow the implementation of the national policy on maternal child health and advocacy for piloting new strategies in the maternal child health model centers, including technical support and supervision to all components of health and mother and child health in the supported centers. The Advisor will provide technical support and supervision to the community support program and its team, including designing strategies to increase the involvement of the patient in the care, treatment, and follow-up services. S/he will provide continuous assessment of the links between the services and their strengthening to ensure that HIV+ women and their exposed or infected children have access to care and treatment. The Advisor will provide overall guidance at both provincial and district levels in developing MCH strategic and operational plans. Position requires a medical degree with diploma in MCH or HIV/AIDS. Preference will be given to applicants with a Masters in Public Health. At least five years experience in the development and implementation of MCH and/or HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs is required. Strong management, supervision, and program planning skills required. Must have the ability to develop program proposals and protocols.
