THREE LONG TERM POSITIONS - VACANT

 

Ramboll Denmark A/S is currently looking for 3 senior experts for an on-going project.  The position is long-term, specifically full-time until January 2012 and is based in Kiev, Ukraine. The three positions are

 

A) Senior energy expert for the position of Senior Sustainable Energy Expert. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • University degree in energy policy, energy economics, energy engineering, or a similar profile.
  • A very good command of English used in a professional context is essential.
  • Ability to communicate in Russian is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • At least five years' experience in energy efficiency and renewable energies sectors with a minimum of two years of experience in developing sustainable energy policies in transition or developing countries.
  • Professional knowledge (preferably at least two years) of organising capacity-building strategies and activities in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energies.

 

B) Senior Investment Expert specializing in the energy sector. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • University degree in energy economics, energy engineering, or a similar profile.
  • A very good command of English used in a professional context is essential.
  • Ability to communicate in Russian is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • A minimum of ten years of professional experience gained in the energy sector,
  • At least two years of technical assistance assignments related to the financing of energy projects or closely related projects in the region formerly covered by the TACIS programme.
  • At least three years experience in working in liaison with financing/donor institutions, more particularly with regard to carrying out pre-investment assessment work (e.g. feasibility studies, EIA, due diligence), combined with a good knowledge of the specific instruments that can be used to finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects (including Kyoto Protocol instruments).
  • Proven experience (preferably at least two years) of working with the business sector in transition countries or developing countries.
  • Good understanding of sustainable energy policies and of climate change issues.

 

C) Senior Energy Governance Expert. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Advanced university degree in law, preferably energy law or a similar profile.
  • A very good command of English used in a professional context is essential.
  • Ability to communicate in Russian is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • A minimum of ten years of professional experience gained in the energy sector, including at least two years of technical assistance assignments related to legislative and institutional reform in the energy sector in the region formerly covered by the TACIS programme.
  • At least three years experience (e.g. developing, analysing) in energy legislation and policies, including EU policies, as well as policy implementing measures and steps required to put them in motion.
  • Demonstrated familiarity (preferably at least two years) with direct high-level networking with institutions.
