Financial Management and Procurement specialists

Cowater is seeking experienced Financial Management and Procurement experts for upcoming multi-year projects in Africa. These individuals will be responsible for providing technical advice and capacity building services on public financial management and procurement issues to local government officials. These are full-time, field-based assignments.

Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business administration, accounting, etc);
• 10 years work experience in the field of financial management and procurement;
• Experience playing a similar role in at least one long-term, field-based assignment in a developing country, preferably in Africa;
• Willingness to relocate for a minimum of 2 years;
• Strong working knowledge of Portuguese.

Assets:
• Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status;
• Experience working on bilateral projects overseas;
• Certification in procurement and/or accounting;
• Working knowledge of French.
