Program Manager – WASH - Zambia

CHF International is seeking Zambian candidates for the position of Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day management for an anticipated USAID-funded WASH project in Zambia. This project will improve the learning environment in basic schools through the provision of water and sanitation services.  The program will focus on construction and rehabilitation of water points and sanitation facilities for teachers and students and promote hygiene education, life skills and community engagement.

The Program Manager will provide oversight of all WATSAN activities, including the supervision of all construction and rehabilitation staff and contractors and coordination as needed with government or school representatives.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in water engineering or relevant field required.
• 10+ years of experience in managing international development projects focusing on Water and Sanitation.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government officials, local and international NGOs, community members and contractors in a complex environment.
• Fluency in English required.
