Project Coordinator

The QED Group is hiring a full-time Project Coordinator to support corporate practice units in budget submissions for new business opportunities.  The Project Coordinator assists in the preparation of proposal budgets and corresponding budget narratives within The QED Group’s New Business Unit.  The Project Coordinator works directly with the New Business Unit and Proposal Development Teams to ensure the quality of cost volumes for proposals and their timely preparation.  The Project Coordinator takes a supporting role in the budgetary aspects of the new business proposal development process and ensures compliance with all rules and regulations relating to donor requirements. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Contract Administrator in the preparation of budgets for new business proposals and the of review sub-grant/subcontract budgets
  • Perform integrity and math review of budgets and communicate pricing information to associates
  • Use working knowledge of spreadsheet techniques to assist in developing and revising of proposal budgets in accordance with donor requirements.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing proposal budget meetings and incorporate resulting changes
  • Ensure QED compliance with terms and conditions of the RFP cost proposal requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pricing for grants and contracts
  • Perform basic support duties along various pricing functions such as reviewing and interpreting RFP/RFAs, initiating cost proposal build, analysis, cost narrative and all basic reviews
  • Participate in the review of budgets and supporting cost volume documents received from proposal managers and teaming partners to be included in submitted proposals

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in business administration, accounting, finance, or other relevant field.
  • Experience with proposal budget development for international development programs preferred   
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills including advanced MS Excel and word processing
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles preferred
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines
