| DAI has an immediate opening for a Senior Editor based in Bethesda, Maryland. This individual will work with the Office of Publications in the Acquisitions Department to produce high-quality proposals and other documents for a variety of clients. The Senior Editor will be a trained editor with strong project management skills who can work with a variety of DAI staff in a team environment to produce high-quality written products according to fixed deadlines. The Senior Editor must be flexible and able to juggle several tasks at one time, and must exhibit initiative and clear thinking. Roles and Responsibilities: „X Ensures that all written products meet the corporate standard for content, grammar, readability, and appearance; „X Ensures that written and electronic materials reflect corporate strategy, values, and vision; „X Ensures that written products are produced within contract deadlines; „X Works with managers and technical staff to develop and produce materials that reflect the corporation¡¦s technical capabilities; and „X Contributes to the development of systems to consolidate and integrate DAI¡¦s knowledge resources into daily work activities and business processes. |
| Basic Qualifications: |
| Education: Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred. Knowledge: Deep knowledge of publishing essential; knowledge of a foreign language useful; specialized knowledge of the procurement process for USAID and other international donor organizations desirable. Work Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant work experience. Skills: Professional editorial training and a background in international development desirable; experience with Microsoft Word essential; familiarity with graphics programs useful. Capabilities: Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple activities for multiple clients under tight deadlines and to communicate requirements clearly to staff and senior management. Must be eligible to work in the United States. |
