Lead Construction Rep

Job Description:

• The objective of this position is to direct, supervise and coordinate all resident inspection/engineering activities and acts as client representative at large, multiple contracts construction sites; ensure work is completed according to specifications and plans within budget, according to construction schedules, safety regulation, and quality requirements.
• Supervising construction representative's in performance of assigned duties, e.g., interpretation of plans and specifications and applications of construction techniques.
• Performing administrative and managerial tasks related to field office and personnel procedures for multiple construction contracts.
• Act as liaison between clients, contractors, governmental agencies and firms.
• Informing client of project status through meetings and progress reports.
• Recommending solutions to complex construction problems.
• Implementing directives, instructions, and policies received from home office and/or client.
• Other duties as assigned by Construction Manager

Requirements:

• B.S. degree in engineering or construction preferred.
• PE License in Puerto Rico highly desirable
• Thorough knowledge of construction techniques, standards and applications.
• 10+ years of directly related experience.
• Must have the ability to independently plan and organize activities of a large-sized team.
• Must have strong management skills within the construction field discipline, and the ability to coordinate the engineering process within construction management.
