dTS is a strategic management consulting firm leading initiatives in social and economic development worldwide with a view to promoting equality and accountability. In recent years, dTS has worked in over 40 countries and provided gender integration, training and capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation services to USAID and the World Bank.

dTS is seeking a short term, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) Expert to conduct an assessment of current SGBV programming supported by USAID in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The expert will work will lead a three person team to evaluate the impact of SGBV projects currently being implemented. The ideal candidates will have: a) extensive experience in sexual and gender based violence programming; b) familiarity with international best practices and standards related to SGBV programming; c) experience working in sub-Saharan Africa, preferably in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and/or surrounding countries and c) demonstrated capacity in assessing impact of SGBV funding to local populations

QUALIFICATIONS

Sexual and Gender Based Violence Experts should meet the following qualifications:

§ Advanced university degree, preferably in international development, social work, anthropology, sociology or related field (required)

§ Minimum of 10 years of experience as Sexual and Gender Based Violence Adviser, preferably for an international organization (required)

§ Experience in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and/or surrounding countries in the region (highly preferred)

§ Experience working with USAID and/or other large international donors (strongly preferred)

§ Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing

§ Detail oriented and organized

§ Good problem solving skills

§ Team oriented individual

§ High level of proficiency in MS Office applications and databases
