Creative is seeking Solar Technology Specialist candidates for a Community Livelihoods Project in Yemen.

Primary Responsibilities
The Solar Technology Specialist will work with CLP program and operations staff to design, develop and implement program grant activities. The position will provide technical expertise to program staff to incorporate solar technology into grant program activities in areas of health, education, economic development, governance, agriculture and water. The position will also assist program and operations staff to contact relevant vendors, develop budgets and assist to procure solar technology. In coordination with program teams and community needs, s/he will ensure that solar technology and ICT elements are utilized in an integrated community-based model that targets both urban and rural environments. The Solar Technology Specialist reports directly to the Sr. Program Manager and Chief of Party to ensure timely project implementation and monitoring of activities. The position will be based in Sana’a, Yemen, with in-country travel for the duration of the project.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A Master’s degree or equivalent in international development or related field;
At least 5 years of progressively more responsible international, donor-funded development experience;
2-3 year experience with relevant technology in field applications;
Be familiar with USAID policies and procedures;
Middle East or North Africa experience;
Possess demonstrated experience in managing similar or relevant international community development projects;
Possess organizational acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and excellent oral and written English communication skills required.
Preferred Skills Fluency in Arabic
