TB Director, Quality Health Care Project

The Quality Project is USAID funded program implemented by the consortium of partners led by Abt Associates; Project HOPE leads TB control component. The Quality Project covers the five Central Asian Republics and is a broad program covering Health Systems Strengthening, Health Financing, HIV work, TB Control, Mother and Child Health Care, and Non-Communicable disease. Thus the TB Director will be linked a much larger Quality Project team.

The TB Director, Kyrgyzstan will assist in the development and implementation of the USAID/Quality Health Care Project (Quality Project) and the project workplan for the TB Control component in Kyrgyzstan.

The TB Director will lead TB component of the project in Kyrgyzstan including the introduction of fully ambulatory care in pilot rayons of Kyrgyzstan and work with local counterparts to review TB guidelines, procedures, curricula, and abstracts, preparing comprehensive oral and written technical reports, providing regular technical supervision of staff, and liaise with program staff, partners, other donors and local counterparts to enhance and sustain TB program activities.

The duties of the TB Director also include linking closely with the broad Quality Project team (Health Financing and Health Reform teams) to help guide the reform process as it relates to tuberculosis control in Kyrgyzstan.

TB Director will work closely with Regional TB Technical team and under direct supervision of Deputy Chief of Party

Essential skills and experience required of this candidate include:

-Medical Doctor with TB specialization or Master’s degree in related field

-Minimum 5 years demonstrated management experience in international setting

-English fluency required, and proficiency in Russian preferred

- Working knowledge of USAID rules and regulations is desired

-Dynamic personality that can adapt to meet project priorities.

-Strong communication, writing and analytical skills
