Job Description	Euroconsult Mott MacDonald is positioning itself for the “Rural Transport Improvement Project II” in Bangladesh. For this project, we are currently looking for a Team Leader. It is estimated that this expert will have a fulltime input of 48 months in the period July 2012–June 2017. Project Objective and Purpose The project will upgrade about 1200 km of Upazila Roads (UZRs) and Union Roads (UNRs) including critical bridges, cross drainage facilities and road safety issues; rehabilitation / maintenance of 4,000 km of UZR and UNRs including bridges/culverts and improvement of about 50 numbers of growth center markets/rural markets and 20 river jetties. It also includes improvement of rural water routes of approximately 50 km length. The objective of Design and Supervision Consultancy Services is to assist Local Government Engineering Department to design, supervis and monitor ensuring compliance with the policies / guidelines of the Government of Bangladesh and the International Development Association in connection with the implementation of the Rural Transport Improvement Project II. We continuously tender for new projects and are frequently looking for additional/replacement staff on existing projects (long and short term).
Candidate Specification	Qualifications and skills - Senior civil engineer with Masters Degree in Highway / Structural Engineering background - Proven project management skills General and Specific professional experience - At least 20 years experience in the planning and implementation of rural infrastructure construction and maintenance works in developing countries - Work experience in developing countries leading a multidisciplinary national consultant team - Experience in working in Bangladesh
