Options is looking for outstanding Team Leaders to lead high profile State-based programmes in India, working at State-level and district-level with government departments, civil society and other stakeholders. You will need demonstrable expertise in some or all of the following:

  • High level engagement with government and international development agencies
  • Health systems strengthening
  • Human resources for health
  • Maternal, neonatal and child health
  • Nutrition, water and sanitation.

 

You will have a flair for leading transformational development programmes, with an excellent reputation for short and long term technical assistance you have provided to Government departments in India, and to international development agencies like the World Bank and DFID.

 

Required competencies:

  • Masters in Public Health or in a related social/development sector
  • 15 years’ experience of planning and managing complex programmes
  • Supreme diplomacy, influencing and consensus building skills for liaising with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent track record for developing strategies for challenging environments
  • Proven experience on monitoring and evaluation, including a strong results orientation and a commitment to accountability
  • Strong technical understanding of the Indian health sector
  • Good technical grasp of community development and district level programmes.
  • Excellent people management skills.
