Technical Specialists – WASH, Infrastructure, Construction - Zambia

CHF International’s mission is to be a catalyst for long-lasting positive change in low- and moderate-income communities around the world, helping them to improve their social, economic and environmental conditions.

CHF International is seeking Zambian candidates for the positions of Technical Specialists for an anticipated USAID- funded WASH project. This project will improve the learning environment in basic schools through the provision of water and sanitation services.  The program will focus on construction and rehabilitation of water points and sanitation facilities for teachers and students and promote hygiene education, life skills and community engagement. 

The Technical Specialists will provide specific technical expertise to the program; ensure deliverables are met on time and within budget; represent the program to key stakeholders within the community and government; coordinate program activities with partners; and prepare monthly and quarterly reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in implementing donor funded programs in one or more of the following areas: water, sanitation, construction, small scale infrastructure.
• Prior USAID experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working cooperatively with a variety of local stakeholders, other projects, and international agencies.
• Fluency in English required (written and oral).
