JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Volunteer Doctor is to provide training.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Training/ Capacity Building
- Ensure professional development for internal medicine doctors through assessment of training needs and capacity building activities.
2. Working Relationships
- Ensure program progress through frequent communication with Medical Director and Country Director
- Interface with national government and relevant agencies as necessary
3. Security
- Collaborate with security officer/CD in order to maintain security of program staff
- Ensures application and compliance of security protocols and policies
REQUIREMENTS
- Medical degree; preferably with a Master’s in Public Health
- Experience in overseas programs
- Previous NGO experience
- Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written
- Must have excellent self-motivation skills
- Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations
- Creativity and the ability to work with limited resources
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal and organization skills
LANGUAGES
- Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret, technical and non-technical in the English language.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions from senior managers in the field and HQ, counterparts, senior government and political leaders and other related regional players
- Ability to speak French language a plus

- While performing duties of the job, the employee frequently works in precarious and remote places. The employee is usually employed in areas of civil strife, which often result in an unstable security environment. Regularly work in outdoor extreme weather conditions
