The Confederation of Industries of Spain meeting on renewable energy addressed one of the key themes of this year’s conference, looking for environmentally sustainable sources of energy.

Francisco Conesa from ASIF, the Association of Photovoltaic Industries, introduced the PV sector. Using solar panels the PV uses photo voltaic conversion to produce emission free energy, without noise pollution or movement. Spain is now a leader in this sector, although it still boasts less than half the capacity of Germany which is currently the European leader. The use of solar panels in residential areas, for industry, and even in open rural areas has been promoted in Spain; a country which certainly does not lack sun!
