The European Commission committed about EUR55 million ($87 million) to support migration management, transnational organized crime prevention as well as border and customs initiatives in Europe’s Eastern region.

UPDATE, 13 MAY 2009:

A representative of the European Commission’s Delegation to Ukraine, which is acting as the intermediate body for some of the projects under this program, stated that first procurements for this program were already published and the next calls for tenders are taking place on an ongoing basis.
