As part of its 2008-2010 country operations business plan for Vietnam, the Asian Development Bank has earmarked an additional US$40 million to support small and medium enterprise development.

UPDATE, 13 October 2009: According to the program officer, they have encountered some delays and approval date has been pushed back.

UPDATE, 9 February 2010: The bank has already released a project information document for this.

UPDATE, 18 May 2011: The board approved the project on 18 October 2010. 

UPDATE, 20 July 2011: The loan agreement became effective on 26 May 2011. The first tranche of the loaned amount was disbursed last 20 June.
