7.    Contract description

The contract will be the provision of long-term technical assistance for the IRCC project and will run for a total period of 48 months. The IRCC contracted staff will be based at the COMESA Secretariat in Lusaka, Zambia and will consist of the three following positions: an IRCC Coordinator, a Trade and Development expert and a Monitoring and Evaluation expert. The role of the IRCC is to ensure the overall coordination of the RSP/RIP implementation by the ESA/IO ROs.

The purpose of the project is to continue to assist with the timely, effective and efficient implementation of regional projects and programmes in the ESA/IO region, in accordance with the priorities (focal and non focal areas) as identified in the 10th EDF RIP/RSP.
