The U.N. International Fund for Agricultural Development will invest US$17 million for the High Value Agricultural project in Nepal. This is part of the country strategic opportunities program for 2007-2012.
UPDATE, 11 December 2009: According to Ron Hartman, IFAD country program manager for Nepal, the project will be presented to the board for approval this month.
UPDATE, 8 July 2010: IFAD has signed the loan as well as the grant agreement for the High Value Agricultural project.
