The Government of Albania has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward the cost of Business Environment Reform and Institutional Strengthening Project (BERIS), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract No. CW/ICB/4-2009. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy (METE), now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for, CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW METROLOGY LAB. The delivery/construction period is 12 months. Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004 and is open to bidders from all countries as defined in the guidelines. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy (METE) at the address below from 09.00AM to 16.30PM from Monday to Thursday and 09.00AM to 14.00PM on Friday. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee EUR 100 or equivalent. The method of payment will be bank transfer to: Bank Name: Raiffeisen Bank Account Name: 0104030780 Account Number: Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy (METE) Swift Code (for foreign bidders): SGSBALTX IBAN: AL63 1011 1008 0000 0000 2117 365 E The Bidding Documents will be sent by DHL Courier, or, at the option of the Bidder, handed to a representative of the eligible bidder. In all cases a full street and postal address must be provided with request and payment. Bids must be delivered to the address below by April 2, 2010 at 14.30oo a.m. local time. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 57,000 EUR or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below at 14.30oo a.m. local time, April 2, 2010.
