The Republic of Haiti intends to apply for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Earthquake Roads and Infrastructure Emergency Recovery Project. Part of this financing will be World Bank-executed and part of it will be Government of Haiti- executed. The Government intends to apply part of the proceeds to consultant services. These services include technical assistance to the Government for project procurement and financial management activities. The services of a procurement agent to manage initial emergency procurement under the project may also be required Acquisitions financed by the project are likely to include works (inter alia: roads, bridges, buildings, port), goods, and consultant services (inter alia: damage assessment, infrastructure and building technical design). The project implementation period is expected to be approximately 18 months starting March 2010. The procurement consultant must be fully proficient in French and English and familiar with World Bank procurement procedures. On behalf of the Government of Haiti the World Bank now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition). Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours (9am – 6pm EST time). Expressions of interest must be delivered (preferably by email) to the address below by February 5, 2010. |
