The World Bank has earmarked US$40 million to support the education sector in Madagascar. These funds will go towards initiatives in post-primary education in 2010.
UPDATE, 16 February 2008: The Madagascar Education for Growth project is currently in th pipeline of operations. Board of approval is expected in July 2009.
UPDATE, 22 February 2010: Due to the recent political disruption in the country, the project has been put on hold until further notice.
UPDATE, 2 June 2011: The decision meeting for this project has been scheduled for 28 November 2011.
UPDATE, 24 November 2011: The Bank has decided to move the decision meeting for the project to 27 April 2012.
