Project Summary

 

The primary objective of the project is to improve and increase access to electricity in Liberia. This objective is designed to be achieved through the following components:

Component 1: Improving the Delivery of Distribution Services
Component 2: Enhancing Options for Power Generation
Component 3: Providing Modern Renewable Energy Services to Off-Grid Users
Component 4: Technical Assistance

The project appraisal is scheduled on 07 October 2010. The Board Approval is expected to take place on 14 December 2010.

The total project cost is estimated at US$ 50 million.

01 December 2010

The project has been approved by the Board on 30 November 2010.

05 November 2010

The appraisal authorization has been rescheduled on 20 October 2010. The total project cost is now estimated at US$ 53 million.
