The European Commission committed EUR 100 million (US$ 156 million) to support environment, energy and climate change activities in Asia.

 

UPDATE, 26 March 2009: The European Commission is currently supporting two regional programs under the environment sector: SWITCH Asia and Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) Asia.

 

UPDATE, 16 April 2009: The program manager for FLEGT Asia told Devex that the commission is still finalizing the work plan for specific activities.

 

UPDATE, 24 August 2010: The EU has published a call for proposals for participation of civil society organizations in FLEGT VPA preparations in Indonesia.
