Top USAID Private Sector Partners: A Primer
The U.S. Agency for International Development regularly taps the private sector to deliver assistance abroad. Which companies have received the largest share? Here’s our top 20, based on USAID data.
Under the ENPI Action Programme (ENPI AP) 2007 for Ukraine, EUR 90 ($ 130.5) million will be allocated to the implementation of the Ukraines energy strategy through budget support to the Ukrainian government. Readmission-related assistance will claim another EUR 18-24 ($ 26.1-34.8) million. The remaining EUR 6-12 ($ 8.7-17.4) million of the total 2007 ENPI AP budget of EUR 120 ($ 173.9) million will cover Twinning and Technical Assistance (TA) in the priority areas identified by the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) EU/Ukraine Action Plan. Remi Duflot, Head of Operations Section 3, EC Delegation to Ukraine, informed The Development Executive Group that the endorsement of the ENPI AP 2007 Financial Agreements by the beneficiary party is expected in March-April 2008. The related procurements will be announced in June 2008. Both local and foreign parties (as conditioned by EU regulations) will be eligible for participation.
UPDATE, 19 April 2011: The European Commission has published a twinning call for proposals for the improvement of the system of public order protection by the Interior Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
