Project Summary

 

The primay objective of the project is to improve water resources management by enhancing the capacity and knowledge of the government agencies in water sector in Egypt.

This objective is designed to be achieved through the following components:

Component 1: Pilot Schemes
Component 2: Capacity Building for Surface Water and Groundwater Management and Monitoring
Component 3: Project Management

The total project cost is estimated at US$ 13.36 million.

The Board Approval has been rescheduled on 22 March 2012. The project financing is now estimated at US$8.37 million.

13 April 2011

The Board Approval has been moved to 19 December 2011.
