Top USAID Private Sector Partners: A Primer
The U.S. Agency for International Development regularly taps the private sector to deliver assistance abroad. Which companies have received the largest share? Here’s our top 20, based on USAID data.
The World Bank will manage and administer a US$15 million trust fund to promote better access to information and communications technologies (ICTs) worldwide. This initiative is also known as the Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT 4D) trust fund which will support capacity building and training activities; and mainstreaming of ICTs in the health and education sectors as well as the development of small and medium enterprises.
UPDATE (19 January 2009): Last 9 October 2008, InfoDev announced that it completed the selection for the first call of proposals under ICT4D. The due date for the second round has not been determined as of yet but will be announced shortly.
UPDATE, 23 February 2011: The Korean Trust Fund is earmarked for World Bank projects and is only for use by the WB staff.
